Steve,
I think it is interesting in that I've never seen an agency of record be the only firm used by a brand team. In my experience they use a firm for advertising, another for managed care, one more for meetings and yet another for research. This was a major issue with communications let alone dollars and sense! In training I think a vendor that can offer project management, content development and implementation excellence be it live or e-based could do very well. The issue is for the most part a vendor who can offer all these areas just doesn’t exist in today’s common practices. What do you think; want to invent the perfect vendor?

Steve,
Excellent commentary on the changing state of sales training and training suppliers. I think you are right on the mark.

My question, If the acronym TAOR "sticks", do you forever have credit for creating it???

Hi Steve - excellent post and certainly a topic that needs to be elevated in discussions across the industry. Quality, efficiciency, consistency and certainly cost should drive the discussion. If training is a commodity then reverse auctions and diverse supply groups make sense. I do not believe that is the case. Thoughts?
